SOUND THERAPY WITH CHEZ
Carpe Diem offers you the opportunity to relax in comfort and receive the healing vibrational frequencies of our crystal sound healing bowls. Chez provides this treatment as a separate therapy or as part of a Reiki Attunement. Some of the reported results of Sound Therapy have been:
******************************* All Universal Matter: In the universe, all matter, including our own bodies, is in a constant state of vibration, organized by frequencies and wave forms. The human body has specific frequencies for each gland, organ, system and subtle body and each resonates at a certain frequency for health, balance and harmony with all other parts and within itself. In this form, employing the direct application of the voice, music and other sounds, these frequencies and wave forms can either - relax or agitate, heal or harm. How does it work? We might liken each frequency of that particular body part to a note that a member of an orchestra would play. When all the notes coming forth from the orchestra flow together and work collectively, we have beautiful music. If they do not, we hear one note or many notes off-key, i.e. the note is sour, the body part or parts is “out of tune”. When “out of tune”, our gland, organ or system may begin to operate at a low level causing our functions to slow down or even cease. Or, alternatively, our gland, organ or system may begin to hyper-operate, eventually leading to burn-out followed by a slowing down or ceasing of the body function. The orchestra may begin to sound like a series of discordant notes, with little harmony and certainly no enjoyment to the listener, however, the energy of the soft sound waves, emitted by the Crystal Bowls, helps the human body recover its balance and restore its equilibrium and energy-flow by stabilising the autonomous nervous system. What is a Sound Therapist?: A Sound Therapist is like the person who retunes a musical instrument. As your parts are retuned and brought back into harmony and balance, your internal orchestra begins to once again make beautiful music. Our body is a marvellous creation and, given the right environment and instructions, can correct itself and encourage a healing for the body’s deeper tissues. The human being’s physiology and psychology begin to resonate at frequencies that create and maintain good health. Is This Something New? We know the Tibetan monks discovered the healing power of overtone chanting thousands of years ago and we also know that sound therapy had its roots in the ancient sacred music of India. More recently, Sound Therapy has been used effectively in hospitals, schools, corporate offices and psychological treatment programs. Crystal and Tibetan Bowls: Sound Therapy may involve Crystal Healing Bowls and / or Tibetan Bowls, the dynamics of which create energy-effects upon the body. You will experience a wonderful sensation when the tones produced are not just heard by the ear, you actually feel them in your body. The consciousness upon the individual is tremendous as certain tones affect your energy centres or chakras for healing, balancing & meditation. Purity: Our Quartz Crystal Bowls are made from the purest sources of silica sand (99.992% pure!) and the resonating frequencies emitted by these bowls trigger strong human responses. When resonated, these beautiful bowls produce an expansive sound that helps produce endorphins. Endorphins are chemicals produced in the brain in response to a variety of stimuli and may be nature's cure for high levels of stress. In addition to decreased feelings of stress and pain, secretion of endorphins lead to feelings of euphoria, modulation of appetite, release of sex hormones, enhancement of the immune response, unblock and re-balance our chakras and energy pathways. Sound has an Invincible Power It is now your time to relax and receive the healing vibrational frequencies of the crystal sound bowls.
CHAKRAS Sound Therapy has the ability to assist in balancing the chakras Chakras are major energy vortexes or whirling energy masses in the body. In your physical body, you basically have seven main ones as well as fairly major ones in the palms, knees and soles of the feet. Even an acupuncture point could be considered a mini-chakra. Because chakras are energy vortexes, they can be affected by other energies, whether it is in the form of a colour, a thought, a sound, or a frequency, etc. Pictures of chakras make them look like coloured dots sitting on the body, but they actually are spiralling vortices of energy that are three dimensional. With practice, it is entirely possible to extend the chakras and the entire energetic field, out several feet. In the Orient, some of the monks are able to extend their field out 50 feet or more. This is measured by taking them out in the snow and measuring the large area of melted snow about them. There is often a misunderstanding about the chakras: People often want their chakras "balanced", however, the balancing of the chakras is actually a lifelong process. Sound therapy, on the other hand, is one way which can assist the person in balancing their chakras to the extent that would be appropriate for them at the time. On a chart, chakras look quite distinct in the separation of their area and colour, but in fact, they combine as one colour intertwining in a magical dance coming up from the bottom of the body. The entire body and the energetic field within the body and without the body is one chakra. Importantly, chakras can become distorted through a lack of flow or movement. This refers to energy blockages on all levels, whether it is physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Constipation or surgery, for example, is going to affect the chakras, no matter at what level. 1. Base or Root Chakra: Its colour is Red and the tone is the note C. This chakra is located in the lowest pelvic region. It actually starts in the perineum, this would correspond to the acupuncture point Ren (CV) 1. This is the seat of our creativity and sexuality. When this chakra is distorted or out of balance, there may be much fear, paranoia, fears of the unknown, and an inability to connect to life. When this chakra is in balance, there will be a feeling of safety, security, and a willingness to connect to life. It embraces life’s experiences.
2. Lower Belly Chakra: Its colour is orange, and the tone is note D. This area is also known as the Dantien, or Hara in Oriental medical thought and is considered to be the area where the energy is stored going all the way through to the kidneys. This is generally the area below the navel and would correspond to acupuncture points Ren 4-6, 7. This chakra is about sexuality and expression of emotions, or being emotionally starved and getting needs met. When out of balance, there will be co-dependency, and inability to freely bond - sometimes even with the self. When a person is more in tune or in balance, he or she will have a sense of belonging and a more balanced relationship with the self.
3. Solar plexus or Upper Abdominal Chakra: Its colour is yellow and the tone is note E. This chakra is more about acceptance and the need to be validated. When out of balance, the person may appear to be conceited, have an attacking nature or be prideful. A lot of trust issues are in this chakra, including self-trust. When in balance, the person will have a good sense of self and personal power as well as having a healthy ego. The 3 lower chakras are often about what is referred to as survival issues - simply being able to navigate through life and manifest what is necessary. Often childhood issues are stored here, particularly around the navel where birth traumas accumulate. History shows the older generation waited until the umbilical cord had stopped pulsing before cutting it. Nowadays, the umbilical cord is cut immediately. Issues of shame and abuse are in this area.
4. Heart Chakra: Its colour is green and the tone is note F. This chakra actually lies a little above the physical heart. This is the chakra of compassion and amazing Love. When out of balance, the expression of grief is blocked, and there may be feelings of undeserving and grasping for Love, feelings of avoiding Love and commitment even to the self. When in balance, there is indeed compassion and the ability to move into Divine Love, as well as have an ability to give and receive.
5. Throat Chakra: Its colour is blue, a deep sky blue, and the tone is note G. This is the chakra of externalisation and expression of the self and being-ness. When out of balance, there will be suppression, fear of making mistakes, inhibited self and growth. When in balance the ability to communicate and express, radiate the true self.
6. Brow or Third Eye Chakra: Its colour is indigo and the tone is note A. This is the chakra of seeing, an inner-knowingness and wisdom. Psychic abilities often radiate this area as well as the heart. When out of balance, there will be denial and refusing to take responsibility. Quite often when this chakra is blocked, there is a lot of confusion. When in balance the ability to see, to own, to take responsibility, to be intuitive, and interpret become reality most clearly.
7. Crown Chakra: Its colour is Violet to white. The tone is note B. This is the chakra of Divine awareness, where the Divine and the human meet and come together down into the heart. Higher wisdom: When out of balance, there will be feelings of disconnection from the Divine; a lack of purpose and an inability to see the Light within oneself. When in balance the ability to experience and interact with the Divine strengthens, together with a "higher mind knowingness”, a connection and a sense of purpose with the Divine plan. The four upper chakras are considered more spiritual and help to bridge the physical and the Divine.
